Travel show experience

If you follow me on Twitter, you would already know about my trip to New York City this past weekend for the New York Times Travel Show. One of the best resources for East Coast travel agents with seminars focused on all kinds of things.
With more than 500 destinations around the globe, it was a great escape from the wintery wind of the city or northern east coast in general. We all got to dream or drool about being in warm islands and other exotic locations. A great opportunity for anyone to see what is out there as far as locations and services.
Possibly the worst place for fairly new bloggers to start but it is an experience. Informational seminars were...well informational, mostly useful to travel agents. Each session was focused on a different topic or continent. The most useful ones to bloggers were on things like social media and being connected at all times.

Many people were taken back with the fact that I was a blogger at a travel show, but were not too willing to do business with such a media. Which should be something they could work on seeing that most travel bloggers do it for fun, at least the ones I have had contact with.

Where would you go on vacation?

  1. I'm going to New Orleans next month and I can't WAIT. Not too far away or exotic but I'm still excited, nonetheless. It'll be my first time. ;)
