If you didn’t know, Tax-Free weekend is a3-day period where “purchases of qualifying school supplies selling for $20 or less per item, and purchases of qualifying clothing and footwear selling for $100 or less per item will be exempt from sales tax” in Virginia (Click for more). Some stores do take the opportunity to put other back to school items on the sale. Also, it does apply for online purchases as long as it will be mailed to a participating state.
