If you didn’t know, Tax-Free weekend is a3-day period where “purchases of qualifying school supplies selling for $20 or less per item, and purchases of qualifying clothing and footwear selling for $100 or less per item will be exempt from sales tax” in Virginia (Click for more). Some stores do take the opportunity to put other back to school items on the sale. Also, it does apply for online purchases as long as it will be mailed to a participating state.

Every year, I miss tax-free weekend in Virginia. This year, the research has been done and I am ready. And I will help you get ready too. Back –to-school supplies does not mean it’s for people who are going back to school, everyone needs notebooks and highlighters (maybe it’s just me..?). Take it as the restock on doodle pads and sharpies!
