Trench Coats, I guess are one of those things that automatically gives the "put together" look no matter what is under. For me finding a good trench coat is like finding a good leather jacket, wardrobe essentials are the hardest things to find. I haven't found that leather jacket. Yet. It's a combination of the fit and price. Some I am looking at right now (mostly under $300):
